BIEA exists to develop accredited, post-secondary education programs for students to enter the bicycle industry; specifically programs that are affordable and accessible to all. We believe that if the bicycle industry better reflects our society, it will make us stronger. Since our inception, we have been committed to delivering diversity to our industry and with it, economic growth.
BIEA supports an idea that the most powerful tool of change is to change our most common point of entry. Historically, this has been through the front door of a bike shop. BIEA’s strategy is to change this point of entry - through education. By developing and accrediting industry focused, post-secondary education programs through regionally-accredited colleges; programs that are affordable and accessible to all; programs committed to providing students a clear path to opportunity we will:
